With Plurk being down for most of today, I've seen a number of people saying they would "come back to Dreamwidth if the mobile site was improved", only to be followed by a lot of people being surprised that there even is a mobile site.

I wonder if there's some way to give this more visibility.

There was a previous discussion about redirecting to m.dreamwidth.org automatically, but a lot of people on larger smartphones didn't want it.

Could we add a link in the header/nav of the main site if it detects you're on mobile?

This should be followed by lots of people saying 'What is Plurk?' :)

The 'you're on a mobile, would you like to use m.etc?' in the header idea is a good one. Especially if it can be turned off via a cookie.

While there *is* a mobile site, I think it's still running on LJ's old code and thus is hideous. There was some work on a while back, but it's still kind of... stuck in like 2001.
